Silvis Library Hosting Birthday Celebration
We are thrilled to invite you to a special celebration marking the 100th anniversary of the Silvis Public Library. Our “Birthday Party & Book Launch” will take place on Monday, June 24th, 2024, from 6-7pm at the Silvis Public Library. This event is free and open to adults of all ages.
In addition to celebrating a century of service and history, the evening will feature the launch of the second edition of the Silvis history book, Silvis: City of Progress 1906 – 2024. This book offers an insightful look into the town’s rich past and dynamic growth, making it a must-read for lifelong residents, history enthusiasts, and newcomers alike.
Adding to the festivities, the City of Silvis and the Mayor have proclaimed June 24th as “Silvis Public Library Centennial Day” in honor of the library’s 100 years of service to the community.
Attendees will have the chance to win a free copy of this historical book through a raffle. Complimentary refreshments will be provided to enhance the festive atmosphere. Join us in commemorating 100 years of progress and community at the Silvis Public Library!
