Rock Island Schools Announce Austin Academic Achievement Awards And Scholarships

The Rock Island-Milan Education Foundation celebrated the Rock Island High School Top Ten of each class at the Austin Academic Achievement and Scholarship Award night on Thursday, May 13, virtually. More than 70,000 dollars was given out. Congratulations to all the students on their academic success!

Rock Island High School Department Awards were given to seniors who excelled in a particular subject area. First place received a $1,500 scholarship and second place received a $1,200 scholarship.

Business: Colton Sigel $1,500, Payton Csssidy -$1,200

Career and Technical Education: Blake Zahner – $1,500,Ethan Hinds – $1,200

English: Say Say – $1,500, Lily Paw – $1,200

Fine Arts: Riley Ellis – $1,500, Calvin Banks – $1,200

Math: Noah Rettig – $1,500, Tiffany O’Leary – $1,200

Science: Renee Farmer – $1,500, Donovan Garro – $1,200

Social Studies: Macy O’Mary – $1,500, Bujeni Itangishatse – $1,200
