Rock Island Public Library Offering More Services
As of June 21, Rock Island Public Library moved to a modified Phase 5 of our COVID operations plan. Here is what this means to our library patrons and staff at this time:
- Seating on our public floors returns, with no gathering or time limit restrictions. Please help by wiping down tables after you use them. Wipe stations available throughout our locations.
- All computers available for use, with pre-COVID time limits of 90 minutes for cardholders and 60 minutes for guest passes.
- Microfilm room open
- WiFi fully available, with no time limits.
- Newspapers available for browsing and reading inside the library
- Materials fully available for browsing (no quarantines.) Touch all the books you want!
- Library of Things collections, and children’s circulating toys, games, and puzzles are available for checkout.
- Cultural passes and Explore More Illinois website available
- Up to four persons may enter the Mobile Library2Go bookmobile.
Unvaccinated persons must continue to mask while inside our locations. If you are fully vaccinated, the choice to mask or not mask inside our buildings is up to you.
We encourage you to continue social distancing as needed, and to stay home if you are feeling ill. The health, safety, and well-being of our staff members and our patrons continue to guide our operations. We appreciate your cooperation with these modified safeguards.
