Red, White and Boom Fireworks Display Set to Return July 3
A year after being canceled because of Covid-19, the annual bi-state Red, White and Boom fireworks display in downtown Davenport and
Free viewing areas for the fireworks include Schwiebert Riverfront Park, Modern Woodmen Park, Quinlan Court, and Rock Island Arsenal.
Rock Island will return this year and is scheduled for July 3, 2021.
Red, White and Boom is the largest fireworks display in the Quad-Cities, shot from two barges in the middle of the Mississippi River.
“We are thrilled to welcome people back to the riverfront for our regional celebration of America’s Independence Day,” said Mike Matson, Mayor of Davenport. “Our new Quinlan Court will be open, and activities in Modern Woodmen Park and LeClaire Park are being planned.”
The Red, White and Boom fireworks display will return to downtown Davenport and Rock Island on July 3, 2021.

Quinlan Court in downtown Davenport is a new area off River Drive, between Brady and Perry streets, that’s a flexible event space, for food trucks, outdoor markets and more. Mercado on Fifth in downtown Moline is planning to expand there with Mercado en el Rio on each second Saturday of the month, starting June 12, through October.
Red, White and Boom will continue to embrace recommended Covid-19 protocols this summer; festival planning will pivot as needed as health and safety precautions evolve in 2021, according to a Quad Cities Chamber release. For the latest updates, visit www.redwhiteandboomqc.org.
