Quad City Symphony Orchestra Holiday Brass Offers Christmas Livestream Saturday

The Quad City Symphony Orchestra will livestream its Holiday Brass concert Saturday, Dec. 12 at 7:30 p.m., from the Central DeWitt Performing Arts Center.

The QCSO Holiday Brass performed Dec. 14, 2019 at North Scott Fine Arts Auditorium in Eldridge.

The livestream and recording will be available for $25 per household. The concert will be available via digital access through Jan. 11, 2021.

Conducted by QCSO music director Mark Russell Smith, the program features 13 brass players from the orchestra, plus timpani and percussion, and includes holiday favorites like “Hark the Herald Angels Sing,” “Adeste Fideles,” “Silent Night,” “Nutcracker Suite,” “Jesu Bambino,” “Joy to the World,” and “Sleigh Ride.”

The concert also includes Gustav Holst’s “Christmas Day” and Anthony DiLorenzo’s adaptation of the famous “Twas the Night Before Christmas,” to be narrated by WQAD News 8’s Eric Sorensen.

Please allow 12 hours for video processing after the conclusion of the live-streamed event before attempting to access the recorded digital concert.

Live Stream access information will be emailed to the ticket purchaser at least 24 hours before the event. If you purchase digital access to the

Digital access will remain available for purchase following the premiere, through Jan. 11.
