Quad City Blues Holding Benefit Games At Davenport’s River’s Edge Rink

Quad City Blues are holding the 14th Annual Benefit Games Sunday, Feb. 16 at River’s Edge Rink, 700 W. River Dr., Davenport.

The puck drops at 12 noon for Junior Varsity and 2:30 p.m. for Varsity.

The Quad City Blues are gearing up for an exciting showdown against the Cedar Rapids Roughriders as they battle for the coveted Heroes Cup in the 14th Annual Blues Benefit Hockey Games.

This isn’t just any ordinary game – it’s a chance to give to our first responders who are keeping our communities safe. This year’s proceeds will be used to purchase new equipment and replace failing gear for volunteer first responders and firefighters in the Quad City and surrounding areas through the Scott County Fire Chiefs’ Association. As a special tribute, the Blues will take to the ice wearing custom reflective turnout jerseys to pay tribute to the life saving gear worn by volunteer first responders and firefighters. Two of these jerseys will be up for auction, along with t-shirt sales, bake sale, raffle items and a silent auction of goods and services. And the best part? The event is free to attend, so everyone can come out, enjoy some hockey and show support for our team and our local heroes. We would love for you to be a part of this event. The Quad City Blues Hockey Club, part of Quad City Hockey Association, is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed to promote the sport of hockey for boys and girls of all ages in the Iowa and Illinois Quad City area.
