Quad City Arts Visiting Artist Series Hosts Irish Tenor For Outreach This Weekend
Quad City Arts’ Visiting Artist Series will host a little bit of Ireland during a three-day residency with singer Paddy Homan.
Homan, from Cork, Ireland, is a Chicago-based traditional Irish Tenor and professional speaker who since his arrival in Chicago has brought his talented voice and quick-witted Cork humor to hundreds of stages and venues in the Chicago area, the Midwest, New England, California, and Hawaii, as well as in Ireland.
Paddy is a frequent keynote speaker in senior living retirement communities where he presents on the role of music in supporting seniors at home and in their residences. His presentation titled, “Music and Alzheimer’s — It’s a game changer!” discusses the role of song and story in supporting people on the journey through dementia.
He is also engaged by many business and civic organizations as singer of Irish traditional songs, of the anthems of Ireland and America, and as a moderator in motivational programs for employees and community audiences.

Quad City Arts will begin hosting artists for the 2021-2022 Visiting Artist Series this October with a weeklong residency with Invoke, a modern/bluegrass/jazz quartet from Austin, Texas. Residencies will continue through April 2022 and will focus on presenting outreach engagements in schools and community sites in and around the Quad Cities.
Residency host sites can sign up for visits ranging from all-school performances to hands-on workshops or performance opportunities with artists in residence hosted by Quad City Arts.
Since 1974, the Visiting Artist Series has engaged Quad City residents of all ages in quality arts experiences with professional performing artists.
