Quad City Arts Virtual Performing Arts Series Returns March 11

A contemporary jazz pianist, a multi-instrumental string quartet, and a Scottish folk/pop/rock group will all be featured as part of Quad City Arts’ Performing Arts Signature Series spring season, which will continue with a “virtual dinner and show” format through the end of April.

In lieu of the in-person events, subscribers can enjoy access exclusive online access to world-class artists from the Quad City Arts Visiting Artist Series safely from the comfort of their own home. This unique experience offers take-out from a premium local restaurant paired with a backstage pass to a visiting artist who recorded a performance specifically for this event.

Spring season artist lineup:

March 11: Barron Ryan, jazz pianist

March 25: Invoke, multi-instrumental string quartet

April 21: Skerryvore, Scottish rock folk and pop group

Jackson. “So when it comes to his own performing, he’s not content drawing on just one influence,” according to his bio at barronryan.com. “He combines them all into a musical adventure that’s vintage yet fresh, historical yet hip, classic yet cool.”

Tickets for PASS include a digital link to the performance and take-out dinner from either Biaggi’s in Davenport or Combine in East Moline using a “prix fixe” menu created for this event.

Tickets for all three spring shows are $140 per person (including dinner); $50 for an individual dinner and show, or $20 for a single show only.

A link to the menus with instructions for placing orders will be provided in advance. Access to the performance will be sent to subscribers by 4 p.m. the day of the event, and all orders placed

All proceeds from these events directly supports the Visiting Artist Series, a performing arts residency program presenting music, dance, and theatre for school and community site audiences. The Visiting Artist Series has moved to an all-online format this season, providing schools with access to videos demonstrations, brief performances, and study guides that teachers can build into their curriculum.

PASS events are typically held at venues throughout the Quad-Cities, where guests can enjoy complimentary cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and a spotlight performance with a world-class visiting artist who is currently in residence through the Visiting Artist Series.

The full season usually consists of six parties from September to April.
