Quad-Cities Offers Options For Parents And Kids On New Year’s Eve
On the search for something fun to do with your kids and the whole family to celebrate the upcoming new year?
There are a number of options to celebrate in the popular NOON year’s eve tradition!

Celebrate the New Year with HyVee’s Virtual Noon Year’s Eve Party at 11 a.m. Dec. 31!
Join your Hy-Vee Dietitian Nina from the comfort of your own home for the following activities:

• New Year’s Noise Maker
• New Year’s Confetti Sticks
• KidsFit Countdown to the New Year
For this class you will need the following supplies:
New Year’s Noise Makers
• Paper Plates (2 for each noise Maker)
• Popsicle Stick
• Glue
• Stapler
• Uncooked Pasta
• Items to decorate like paint, markers, crayons, sequins,
Pom-poms, ribbon
DIY New Year’s Party Hat

• Stretchy string, yarn or ribbon
• Stapler
• Scissors
• Tape
• Items to decorate like paint, markers, crayons, sequins,
Pom-poms, ribbon
New Year’s Sparklers
• 11 oz. thin-crust pizza dough
• Parchment paper
• 1 egg, beaten
• For sweet version you’ll need cinnamon and sugar.
For a savory version you’ll need parmesan cheese and
marinara sauce.
*The ingredient amounts listed above are for one serving. You will need to double or triple depending on how many children you have participating.
Make sure to have all ingredients ready before the start of class. Nina will lead all class participants through each craft and recipe.
