Playcrafters Cancels Rest Of 2020 Season Due To Covid Concerns

Playcrafters Barn Theater has announced they’ll be cancelling the rest of their 2020 season due to covid-19 complications and concerns.

The Moline theater released the following statement on their website today:

Playcrafters Cancels Rest Of 2020 Season Due To Covid ConcernsWe at Playcrafters Barn Theatre must sadly announce that we are officially postponing the remainder of our 2020 season. The health and safety of our volunteers and patrons must always come first, and after much deliberation, we have concluded that it will not be possible for us to safely rehearse and perform the rest of this season’s shows while the coronavirus pandemic continues as it has. We are working to reschedule all remaining 2020 shows in 2021 and will announce our 2021 season as soon as we are able. All season tickets for 2020 will be honored in 2021.

While it is disheartening to concede that our shows will not go on in 2020, we at Playcrafters made this decision in the hope of protecting our patrons and volunteers. People are what make theatre possible, and we cannot in good conscience put the people who support us at risk. We hope you will continue to support Playcrafters through this difficult time by making a tax-deductible donation through our website (go the “Support Us” tab and click the Donate button). Any amount you can give will help sustain our theatre so that we can reopen our doors to you in 2021. Until then, please keep following Playcrafters on social media and supporting us any way you can. Thank you all very much, and please stay healthy.”
