Playcrafters Barn Theatre in Moline Announces 2022 Season

“12 Angry Jurors” (also known as “Twelve Angry Men”) was adapted for the stage by Sherman Segel, and is on tap for Playcrafters in November 2022.

2022. The Mainstage season is as follows:

  • “The Odd Couple” by Neil Simon, performing in February.
  • “Agatha Christie’s A Murder is Announced” by Leslie Darbon, performing in May.
  • “A Raisin in the Sun” by Lorraine Hansberry, performing in July (pending approval from Concord Theatricals).
  • “Sylvia” by A.R. Gurney, performing in October.
  • “12 Angry Jurors” by Sherman Sergel, performing in November.

Playcrafters is at 4950 35th Ave., Moline.

The 2022 Barn Owl season (emphasizing more alternative, contemporary plays) is as follows:

  • “Rabbit Hole” by David Lindsay-Abaire, performing in March, directed by Jaclyn Marta.
  • “Dog Sees God” by Bert Royal, performing in June, directed by Jay Megan Sushka.
  • “The Christmas Letter Writing Club,” performing in August, written by Quad-Cities native Tom Ackers.

A couple of the mainstage shows have been done by the 92-year-old nonprofit in recent years. “12 Angry Jurors” (more widely known as “Twelve Angry Men”), adapted from the famous 1954 Reginald Rose teleplay, was last done at Playcrafters in May 2008, and “A Raisin in the Sun” (1959) was done there in July 2009.

Playcrafters is currently seeking directors for the five mainstage shows and the one original Barn Owl show. For questions about the application, please email office@playcrafters.com.
