Paranormal Ghost Hunt Scares Up Fun In Downtown Rock Island Tonight

After January, two beloved downtown Rock Island businesses will be closing… not without a last hurrah. A paranormal one! A ghost hunt will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. tonight!
This one-time event is a paranormal investigation of BOTH Spellbound and Theo’s Java Club. You’ll have access of parts of places people haven’t had before.
Both first-time ghost hunters and experienced investigators are encouraged to take part.
People over the years have experienced strange things in each location. From seeing and apparition from the corner of their eyes in Theo’s to strange energy in the back room at Spellbound, there’s definitely something happening on 17th Street! (Historically, gangster John Looney has strong connections to this street.)
This event isn’t just for the boos, so to speak. It’s also a way for friends, patrons, and the community to give back to these small businesses and the proprietors, Sarah Jacoby of Spellbound and Jamie Anderson of Theo’s. Proceeds from the ticket sales will be split between the two businesses to help with losses they’ve incurred.
There will be beverages and a limited menu available for purchase at Theo’s.
Tickets are $45 each.
To RSVP, text 309-781-7083
or send payment through
Venmo: minda-qchaunts
You may also pay with cash ahead at Spellbound. Otherwise, RSVP ahead to pay cash at the door.
If you’re not able to participate, you can send a donation via the same Venmo above. Please tag it as a donation for Spellbound and/or Theo’s. The will be sent to them in full.
The event is presented by QC Haunts & History. For more information, message or email us at qchaunts.com.
