Night People Reuniting For One Last Show

Night People Reuniting For One Last ShowThe Night People are making one last bow before heading into their own good night.

The Night People, a local Quad Cities music group for over 50 years, were inducted into the Iowa Rock & Roll Hall of Fame on September 3, 2017.  This prestigious designation was in recognition of their influence and contribution to the area music scene.  Over the 50 plus years the band has been together, they have opened for many prominent national and international music acts, most notably for Jimi Hendrix at The Col Ballroom in August 1968.

To commemorate this honor and say “thank you” to the community for their continuous support, the original members, featuring Rob Dahms, Mike Stroehle, Kenny White, Rich Collignon and Gary Pearson, will perform a “Farewell” concert on Saturday, November 25 in the Mississippi Hall at the RiverCenter.  Proceeds from this performance will support the Adler Theatre’s marquee renovation project. The RiverCenter was the site of the very first reunion on November 23, 1984.

Although the band continues to play in the area, it’s rare for all the original members to get together.  This is the last time fans will be able to see all of the original members together on stage.  The concert will be a showcase of music that influenced the group, from the early rock and roll era, the Beatles and British Invasion, and the modern era.  The band will also be joined on stage by some very special guests.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, September 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the Adler Theatre Box Office (136 E. 3rd St.), online at Ticketmaster.com and by phone at 800-745-3000. General admission tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.  VIP tickets are $27.
