Augie Alive With The Sound Of Music, Theater And MoreThere are some exciting things happening this month in the arts at Augustana College!

Here’s a rundown of some of the cool events:

Titanic: the Musical opened last weekend, with more performances this weekend May 5-6 at 7:30 p.m. and May 7 at 1:30 p.m. Get your tickets at www.augustana.edu/tickets.

The Senior Art Exhibition opened Friday, featuring the Senior Inquiry projects of the studio art and graphic design majors of the Augustana Class of 2017. As part of the Celebration of Learning on May 3, students will give artist talks in the Centennial Hall galleries beginning at 10:30 a.m. A closing ceremony will take place May 21,12:45-2 p.m. in the galleries.

Throughout the month the Department of Music will present multiple concerts, concluding with commencement weekend. Here are some highlights:

Augustana Jazz Ensemble Concert – Centennial Hall

Friday, May 5, 8 p.m.

Spring Choral Concert – Centennial Hall

Saturday, May 6, 4 p.m.

Featuring performances by the Jenny Lind Vocal Ensemble, Augustana Concert Chorale, Augustana Academic Chorus and the Ascension Ringers.

Seniors’ Recital – Wallenberg Hall

Sunday, May 7, 2 p.m.

Augustana Symphony Orchestra Concert – Centennial Hall

Saturday, May 13, 8 p.m.

Augustana Bands Concert – Centennial Hall

Augustana Symphonic and Concert Bands will perform.

Saturday, May 13, 2 p.m.

Augustana Chamber Singers Spring Concert – Wallenberg Hall

Sunday, May 14, 3 p.m.

Augustana Music Festival Concert – Centennial Hall

The Augustana Choir, Augustana Symphonic Band and Augustana Symphony Orchestra will perform.

Saturday, May 20, 7 p.m.
