Mockingbird On Main Holding Auditions For ‘Enemy Of The People’ Tonight

The Mockingbird On Main will be holding an audition for a new adaption of Henrik Ibsen’s Enemy of the People by Quad City playwright Alexander Richardson on Thursday, June 24 at 7pm.

Mockingbird on Main is a new theater opening in downtown Davenport where QuadCities.com will be sponsoring new shows.

man’s brave struggle to do the right thing in the face of extreme scrutiny and social intolerance. In Richardson’s modern-day reimagining of the classic Ibsen tale, it is revealed that the true corruption in the town and the entire country is that all the power lies with the complacent majority, most of whom are too ignorant to know what’s best for them.

Rehearsals:
Beginning mid to late August pending schedules.
Performances:
September 30 and October 1, 2, 7, 8, 9 at 8pm
Victoria and Alex are looking to cast the following:
HOVSTAD, male, 20’s
STOCKMANN, male, 40’s
KATHRINE, female, 40’s
PETER, male, 50’s
PETRA, female, 20’s
The audition will be held at The Mockingbird located at 320 N. Main St. in Downtown Davenport, Iowa. Just bring yourselves, a good attitude and ready to read from the script. All actors will receive a small stipend.
