Meet This Week's Local Artist In The QuadCities.com Virtual Art Gallery!“Kevin Richard Schafer, who currently resides in Davenport (Iowa) is a photographer who is working on an on-going life project called “Humans from Earth”.

Loosely inspired by August Sander’s 1911 “People of the 20th Century” and Edward Steichen’s 1955 “Family of Man” he intends to photograph anyone who wants to be photographed.

The goal is to accumulate as many portraits of various individuals in an informal formal portrait setting.

He lists his influences to be Mike Disfarmer, Richard Avedon, Arnold Newman, and Annie Leibovitz. Parties interested in joining the party can contact him through (this website/his email (kevinrichardschafer@gmail.com?).”
