March Madness Brackets Busted? Vote For Don Draper And Co. In This ‘Mad Men’ Style AD-Ness
I’ve long loved the TV show “Mad Men.”
It’s one of my favorite shows of all time, and, I’m not alone in ranking it among the top TV shows ever made.
It also features some of the most memorable, interesting, and charismatic characters created over the past couple of decades on the tube.
Don Draper.
Joan Hollaway.
Roger Sterling.
Peggy Olson.
And, of course, the Queen of Perversions herself, Ms. Ida Blankenship.
I have a number of friends who are also fans of the show, and we’ve long debated who the most intriguing characters are, and chatted about our favorites, regardless of whether we thought they were good albeit strange people (Michael Ginsberg) or bad albeit charismatic people (Don Draper).
Undoubtedly, in my opinion, the funniest and most fun to watch characters are Don and Roger, since they’re both funny, charismatic, and interesting. But they’re not exactly the most likeable human beings as regular people. Then again, a lot of the folks we watch on TV and in movies aren’t. They’re just the most complex and interesting.
Personally, I’ve always thought the most likeable characters were Ginsberg, Stan, and Ken Cosgrove. Ginsberg is certainly eccentric but is a genuine creative genius and is a sympathetic nebbish. Stan is likewise talented albeit a bit arrogant but he proves to be a good guy. And Ken Cosgrove is, sometimes much to his detriment, one of the most grounded and decent characters on the show.
So, are those some of your favorites?
Or do you prefer, say, Sally Draper, Henry Francis, or Peggy Olson?
Well, now you can make your opinion count, and vote for your favorites.
