Looking For A Covid Test? Western Illinois University Offering Spring 2021 COVID Tests
MACOMB/Moline, IL — Beginning the week of Feb. 1, Western Illinois University will begin COVID-19 surveillance testing and continue as the semester progresses. Additional open appointment times may be added periodically for those who would like to be tested,but have not been selected as part of the surveillance test population.
Each week, approximately 700 students, faculty and staff will receive an email encouraging them to get a free COVID test provided by Beu Health Center. According to Executive Director of Auxiliary Services and Risk Management Joe Roselieb, the University is using the self-administered BD Veritor nasal swab tests, which are completed on-site at the test distribution center on the Macomb Campus. The Quad Cities campus continues to administer a saliva-based test that is processed through a third-party laboratory.

For those on the Macomb campus, an appointment must be made by going to beuonline.wiu.edu. Individuals should arrive at the meter parking lot at the northeast corner of the University Union on the time and date selected. Results of the nasal swab are provided the same day. For individuals on the Quad Cities campus, the saliva test can be picked up and dropped off in Riverfront Hall on the designated times and dates.

WIU-QC Testing Schedule (All tests can be picked up and dropped off at Riverfront Hall):
Through Thursday, Jan. 28: 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m
Friday, Jan. 29: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m
