Iowa Department Of Transportation Wants Your Opinions On I-80 Plans

The Iowa Department of Transportation will hold a public information meeting to discuss the Interstate 80 corridor study in Scott County. The I-80 study includes evaluation of potential capacity expansion options on I-80 and related improvements at the interchanges along the corridor. The purpose of the meeting is to gather input and discuss alternatives along the corridor from approximately 3.5 miles west of the I-280 interchange, east to the Southwest 35th Street overpass.

In-person public meeting:

Date/Time: September 23, 2021 between 4:00 and 6:00 pm

Location: TBK Bank Sports Complex (Centennial Room), 4850 Competition Drive, in Bettendorf

Format: The in-person public meeting will be conducted utilizing an open house format. Iowa DOT staff and consulting team will be present to informally discuss the proposed improvements. No formal presentation will be made. The meeting space is accessible for persons with disabilities. However, if you require special accommodations at the meeting, please notify the Iowa DOT contact listed below by September 21.

When you arrive at the public meeting, you will be asked to register for attendance. If you have a smartphone or mobile device, please use your camera to scan the QR code at the front door to register. If you do not have a mobile device, there will be ipads and/or paper registration forms. Keeping a safe social distance (6 ft) and wearing masks is encouraged at the meeting.

Date: Anytime between September 23, 2021 – October 7, 2021

Location: Navigate to www.iowadot.gov/pim and click on “Interstate 80, Scott County”

Format: Experience a self-guided tour of the proposed project and submit comments and questions at any time during the comment period. If you do not have access to the internet, or need assistance viewing the materials, please contact the DOT representative listed below.

Comments and questions regarding the online public meeting should be received by October 7, 2021.
