Giles Joslyn Memorial StringFest Going Online
The 11th Annual Giles Joslyn Memorial Stringfest is going to be VERY different this year, with the performance being entirely online, but the spirit of Stringfest remains the same. Students and performers are hard at work prepping for this event.
The performance will be broadcast right here on Facebook Live on Friday, May 22nd.
The concert will feature student performers from 4th grade to 12th, as well as professional musicians around the community and around the country.
There is no admission, but with one of the main missions of Stringfest being to raise funds for students who need it most/
“We will be doing an online fundraising push that weekend,” organizers announced on the event Facebook. “That fundraiser will kick-off at the beginning of Stringfest at 7pm on the 22nd, and conclude 48 hours later at 7pm on the 24th. We will have Venmo set up for people to donate that are willing and able. With this being the 11th Annual performance, we have a goal to raise $1,100! That Venmo information will be posted for everyone to donate on the 22nd.
“So please, mark your calendars and join us from the comfort of your own homes on the 22nd! We are so happy to be a part of this wonderful, supportive community, and look forward to performing for you all!
