Toxic Blonde is an Iowa-based rock band quickly gaining attention for its intense and energetic live performances.

Featuring some of the areas finest musicians, Toxic Blonde is the perfect mix of entertainment and technical skill.

Covering everything from Prince to Van Halen, each show is a must-see event. $5 drink tickets at the door!

Icestravaganza 2021: A Chilling Winter at the Freight House ❄️
Friday, Jan. 15-Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 | FREE to attend
Freight House, Davenport, Iowa
Enjoy beautiful ice carvings on display at the Freight House – stroll by on the boardwalk or view from your vehicle. The best time to see the sculptures is when they’re lit each night from dusk to 10 p.m.
Live ice carving competition can be experienced in-person and will be broadcast on Facebook Live (Saturday, January 16 at 11 AM – Noon and 1 – 2 PM).
➡️ NEW THIS YEAR – A variety of sculptures will be placed outside of local businesses. Snap a 📸 and post on social media using the hashtag #IcestravaganzaQC for a chance to win $25 #KeepItQC gift card!

This year’s sculpture theme is “Chilling Winter at the Freight House” with Halloween-themed ice sculptures such as witches, haunted houses, jack-o-lanterns and ghouls.
☕ The Family Credit Union will host a warming station with free hot chocolate and a fire pit at the Freight House’s outdoor patio during the ice carving competition and from 5-6:30 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The Freight House Farmers’ Market sill be open 10 AM – 6 PM on Saturday and 10 AM – 4 PM on Sunday.

Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds is hosting a Hunter Enthusiast Gun & Knife Show hosted by Pope Creek Shows, LTD.

The show will run Sunday 9-3.

Get in some fitness and help folks in need with the Boozies Fun Run, striding in next Sunday.

Sunday January 17, with a Sign-Up Deadline Saturday January 16, there’s a $5.00 Entry Fee.
Meet at Boozie’s at 3:00pm to get your card, and start running.
-There is a list of bars you will “run” to and purchase a drink.
-When you purchase your drink, the bartender will sign your card.
-The more bars you run to, the better chance you have to WIN!!
-You can go to as many bars as you want.
–There will be 1st and 2nd place for best hand.
-$2.00 from each entry fee will be donated to King’s Harvest Pet
Rescue.
-The rest will go into a pot to be paid as prizes for best hand.
In the event of a tie, we will draw a winner.

Davenport Archers Event Hits The Mark TODAY

The Davenport Archers Association will be hosting one of the NFAA Indoor Nationals Shoot locations on Jan 17 2021 at 1251 Weindruch Road, Bettendorf.

From Toxic Blondes To Centaur Noirs, Here's Your FUN10 For The Week!Davenport Valley Archers (DVA) has been an organized archery club since 1967 and is incorporated in the State of Iowa. ISAA and NFAA affiliated.

We will have up to 24 shooters both days. Line time will be assigned to each archer after registration has closed on the NFAA registration page. We will have drinks and snacks available during the shoot.

Where: German American Heritage Center & Museum (712 W 2nd St. Davenport)

WWII was a global conflict that forever altered society and touched the lives of people around the world, including right here in Iowa. The year 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII. With this exhibit we remember and commemorate that momentous occasion. Through local headlines, personal letters, and historic artifacts, we will tell the Quad Cities’ WWII story.

This exhibit is supported by the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities and was co-curated by GAHC Staff and Arthur Pitz, Ph.D.

The exhibit will be open through January 17 and is included with general admission:
Adult: $5 | Senior: $4 | Child: $3 | Member: Free.
