Midwest Monster Fest Holding Cool Charity Auction This Weekend!

FUN10 Giving You The Gift Of Great Events For The Holiday Season!Today is your last chance to pick up some awesome gifts for yourself and others on your holiday list from the Midwest Monster Fest!
Midwest Monster Fest Cares will be holding an auction of horror and monster culture memorabilia, with proceeds going to Linnea Quigleys Animal Rescue called Moulin Rouge!

Davenport Police Association Sponsoring A Toy Drive

FUN10 Giving You The Gift Of Great Events For The Holiday Season!The Davenport Police Association is sponsoring the Family Resources Inc. Christmas Toy Drive on Saturday, December 12th (10am to 6pm) and Sunday, December 13th (10am to 5pm). Come visit us at Northpark Mall, 320 W Kimberly Rd by Firestone!

This annual event raises money and collects new toys at Christmas for children involved in Family Resources Domestic Violence Shelters, Child Advocate programs (victims of sex assaults and other at risk programs), and supports the Family Resources Adopt a Family Program. Please consider supporting this great cause!

Started in 2002 after Family Resources Offices were burglarized right before Christmas, and toys and funds were stolen. This Annual event has benefited and put many smiles on children’s faces at Christmas Time.

Interested In Wild Edibles?

Join Naturalist Becky Baugh from the Wapsi River Center on Tuesday, December 8th at 1:00 pm to learn about many wild edibles in your neck of the woods. We will focus on foraging basics, foraging safety, identifying plants, and preparing wild edibles. Celebrate Second Saturday In Downtown Davenport

Each Second Saturday of the month, the Downtown Davenport Partnership is helping to organize collaborative events across downtown.

From curbside concerts, to sidewalk sales and special activities – DDP works with businesses to offer specials, partnerships with downtown neighbors, and helps to create a fun atmosphere for Quad Citizens and visitors to shop local!

Take A Walk To The Geneseo Christmas Walk

FUN10 Giving You The Gift Of Great Events For The Holiday Season!Geneseo’s Annual Christmas Walk is held every year on the second Saturday in December.
The event kicks off with its popular Geneseo Jingle Run at 8:30 a.m. This 5K event includes a commemorative gift with pre-registration.
Everyone will enjoy shopping all day throughout Geneseo, finding just the right gift for everyone on your list. Children’s activities fill the afternoon with special crafts, face painting, writing letters to Santa, and much more. Take a load off at one of our local restaurants or breweries. Join us at Central Theater for the traditional viewing of “White Christmas”.
As the sun goes down the night heats up with the Walk’s ever-growing lighted parade at 5 p.m. People line the streets as music and twinkling lights fill the evening air. Numerous floats, marching musicians, and animals parade southward down State Street through the historic downtown district.

FUN10 Giving You The Gift Of Great Events For The Holiday Season!Join us for a discussion on safe medication practices on Monday, December 7th at 1:00 pm. Learn about the importance of following the directions for both prescription and over-the-counter medications. We will talk about disposing of medications safely, storing medicines properly, keeping track of medications, and avoiding the misuse of medication. Information will also be provided on what questions you should ask your doctor, pharmacist, and insurance providers.

Next weekend, Mississippi Marketplace is proud to present the Christmas Comic, Toy, and Hobby Show!

They are welcoming vendors from all around to give you guests that special piece you have been looking for along with a large variety of items you didn’t even realize you needed!

This will be a great two day event Saturday 10am – 5pm Sunday 11am – 5pm.

See The Holiday Lights At Fejervary

Join us for seasonal holiday lights display at Fejervary Learning Center! We were so ‘Happy’ with last year’s display that we simply ‘Can’t FUN10 Giving You The Gift Of Great Events For The Holiday Season!Stop the Feeling’ and will be bringing it back with even more lights this year! Shows last approximately 15 minutes with a new show starting every 30 minutes beginning at 5 PM; the last show starts at 9:30 PM.
Stop by for Throw-back Thursday when we rewind to our 2019 show (occurring every Thursday through the duration of the show). This is a park and watch event, not a drive or walk-through event.
Location: Fejervary Learning Center, 1800 W. 12th St, Davenport, IA
Dates: 11/28/20–1/3/21
Times: 5-9:30 PM (last show begins at 9:30 PM)
Directions: Enter on W. 12th St and follow the directional signs. Attendees may park at the listed locations. Accessible parking is labeled and located directly across from the learning center. Exit by following the loop around the west side of the learning center.
Radio broadcast: Turn your radio to FM 107.5 to sync with the holiday lights music broadcast.
Warning: This show may potentially trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised.

Winter Nights, Winter Lights Lights Up The Botanical Center

Winter Nights Winter Lights is lighting up the Quad City Botanical Center, 2525 4th Ave., Rock Island!

FUN10 Giving You The Gift Of Great Events For The Holiday Season!From now to Jan. 10, every night from 4 to 9 p.m. the outdoor gardens will be in winter bloom with over 130,000 glowing lights. Showcasing our largest light display yet, new areas of our outdoor gardens will be lit, including the Children’s Garden.

Explore the lawns, pond and pocket gardens of our outdoor light exhibit.
Open Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and the night of New Year’s Day. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
A small processing fee will be added to all tickets.
All events have limited capacity and are subject to change based on state mandates governing public health.

Where: German American Heritage Center & Museum (712 W 2nd St. Davenport)

WWII was a global conflict that forever altered society and touched the lives of people around the world, including right here in Iowa. The year 2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of WWII. With this exhibit we remember and commemorate that momentous occasion. Through local headlines, personal letters, and historic artifacts, we will tell the Quad Cities’ WWII story.

This exhibit is supported by the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities and was co-curated by GAHC Staff and Arthur Pitz, Ph.D.

The exhibit will be open from September 13 – January 17 and is included with general admission:
Adult: $5 | Senior: $4 | Child: $3 | Member: Free.
