Free Journaling Workshop to be held at the Bettendorf Public Library Tonight

The theme for this summer at the Bettendorf Public Library is “Find Your Voice.” On Tuesday, June 20th at 6:30 PM the Library is teaming up with NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley to offer a journaling workshop in expressing one’s voice in support of personal mental health. Journaling for Mental Health will be held at the Bettendorf Public Library located at 2950 Learning Campus Dr. in Bettendorf. The workshop for adults will be taught by author and publisher Jodie Toohey along with NAMI staff and offer tips and inspiration for journaling. Registration is required and can be made online at https://events.bettendorflibrary.com/event/8447000 or by calling the library at 563-344-4175.
Journaling materials will be provided, attendees can also bring along their own supplies. This program is free thanks to the support of the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library.
Writing and journaling empower self-expression and nurture mental health. Presenter Jodie Toohey is the author of nine books of various genres and has traditional publishing company, Legacy Book Press LLC. NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley focuses on education, advocacy for
