Quad Con Comic Book And Collectible Show Opens At Davenport's NorthPark Mall Today

Hoops In The Heartland Scores Today

The Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Women’s Basketball Tournament returns to the TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Dr. in downtown Moline, Illinois, for its fourth year on March 12, 2023.
Tickets for the tournament are on sale now and are available at the TaxSlayer Center box office or online at Ticketmaster.com. Group Rates are available for group of 10+, order today by calling 309-277-1356.

Ten universities compete in the MVC Women’s Basketball Tournament and include: Bradley, Drake, Evansville, Illinois State, Indiana State, Loyola, Missouri State, Northern Iowa, Southern Illinois, and Valparaiso.

Bettendorf Public Library Hosts Glass Etching Workshop

Bettendorf, IABettendorf Public Library cardholders have free, exclusive access to a Creativebug subscription. On Saturday, March 18th, the Creation Studio of the Bettendorf Public Library is hosting a Creativebug craft-along session on etching glass. This free event is open to persons aged 16 and up. Registration is required and can be made at https://events.bettendorflibrary.com/event/7808033, in person at the library, or by calling 563-344-4175.

After watching the Creativebug instructional video, participants will be able to try their hand at glass etching.  Glass will be provided, but attendees can also bring items for etching. Creation Studio Programming is sponsored by The Bettendorf Public Library Foundation and Quad City Bank & Trust. St. Pat’s is back in a big way at the MVF on March 17th and 18th with FREE ADMISSION all weekend long!

Reba Flies Back Into Town

The iconic country star Reba McEntire will rock the Vibrant Arena on March 18!

The award winning artist last played the Quad Cities when she appeared at The Mississippi Valley Fair in 2015.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade And Events Set

Join us Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the Quad Cities St Patrick Society Grand Parade XXXVII & Post-Parade Bash for some music, dancing, & fun!

The St. Patrick Society presents Grand Parade XXXVII on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Parade organizers are most interested in participants expressing the spirit of St. Patrick and Irish Heritage, and encourage family walking units and decorated floats. Applicants of a purely commercial theme are not permitted.

The day begins with Mass at St. Mary’s, 2204 4th Ave. Rock Island, 10:00AM, then the Nation’s only bi-state St. Patrick’s Grand Parade will start promptly at 11:30AM at the corner of 4th Avenue and 23rd Street in Rock Island, Illinois. The parade will travel through downtown Rock Island, across the Mississippi River via the Talbot/Centennial Bridge to W. Third Street and proceed east through downtown Davenport, Iowa along a route to the RiverCenter at E. Third and Perry Streets. The Post-Parade Bash will take place at the RiverCenter from 1-4 PM.

The Bored Teachers are coming to town!

The Bored Teachers: We Can’t Make This Stuff Up Comedy Tour is coming to Davenport’s Adler Theatre at 7 p.m. March 17. Tickets are on sale at the Adler box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.

MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING will be the first Prenzie Players show since 2019!

Prenzie Veteran Jarrod DeRooi will direct this comedy from Shakespeare’s middle period — one of his wittiest, with Benedick and Beatrice starting out with total disdain for each other that blossoms (with much help) into deepest love. Everything that could possibly go wrong with this love story does, and the ways disaster is defeated are more than half the fun of this engaging work.

Showtimes: March 17-18, 23-25 at 8:00 pm, March 19 at 2:00 pm.
