Before you say, “I’ve never heard of that song!”… You are lying and you are probably wanting to go see Rick belt it out!
Although Rick Springfield’s music was frequently dismissed as vapid teen idol fare, his best moments have actually withstood the test of time far better than most critics would ever have imagined, emerging as some of the most well-crafted mainstream power pop of the 1980s.
Springfield brings his rocking – and nostalgic -show to East Moline’s Rust Belt on February 26, 2023!

Kristen Toomey’s comedy career began in 2008. Since then she has performed in L.A., New York City and everywhere in between. Her commanding stage presence and energetic, expressive and truthful style of comedy are just a few of the reasons entertainment website, The A.V. Club, said, “Kristen Toomey is a Chicago original.” Kristen is a regular on the late-night comedy show Man of the People with Pat Tomasulo. She is an actress as well, most recently appearing on an episode of Chicago Med. You can see & hear her on her podcast, I’m Upset!, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, WGN Radio 720, & NPR’s The 21st.
“Watching her is like watching a sitcom in the wings.”-Chicago Reader
“Toomey is part of the tradition of comics who kill while sober.”- Chicago Tribune
“Keep an eye out for Kristen Toomey”- Huffington Post
“Kristen Toomey is the Mother of all Comedians”- Rebellious Magazine
Featuring
Adam Allgood
Adam Allgood is a writer, standup and sketch comedian from Reno, Nevada (aka Biggest Little City and/or Silver State). He’s been performing in the greater Los Angeles area (aka Tinseltown, Hollyweird) for the past 8 years at venues and festivals. He has written and acted in many comedy videos. He was in a Comedy Central snapchat video for but a mere second, he was a lead in a feature length film about vaping, and there was also one video where he stabs David Arquette. Yet despite all this success he still fears the void and the darkness. Currently, he can be seen in the Pack Theater’s sketch team, Lick.
Special Guest
Leah Kayajanian
Born in Boston and raised in small town Oklahoma, Leah developed a one-of-a-kind comedic voice that has made her a must-see performer in Los Angeles, Oklahoma City, and most recently, Chicago. While widely known for her writing chops and her “legend” status in LA’s roast battle scene, Leah’s been entertaining audiences all over the country with her authentic onstage presence for over 15 years. Leah’s career highlights include TV appearances on Comedy Central’s Road to Roast Battle (2016), Roast Battle II (2017), and Fox’s Laughs TV (2015, 2016). Leah was a featured performer on LA Riot Fest (2016) and Portland’s highly acclaimed Bridgetown Comedy Festival (2013, 2015). She won the title of LA’s first Roast Battle Champion in 2016, was a semifinalist on NBC’s 2014 Standup for Diversity Showcase, and in 2009, was named “Funniest Person in Oklahoma City.”
Host
Bobby Ray Bunch
Bobby Ray Bunch is the third most famous person from Iowa behind John Wayne and Tom Arnold (don’t fact check it). He has traveled the country performing stand up comedy since 2012 and has been fortunate enough to share the stage with Todd Barry, Kyle Kinane, Tig Notaro and Uncle Joey from Full House. In his free time he is a real estate agent and has yet to sell a house.

• A dramatization of Susan Glaspell’s short story, “The Rules of the Institution” — a piece that showcases a young woman’s rebellion against arbitrarily imposed traditions of behavior
• A memorial of Susan Glaspell’s husband Jig Cook and his untimely death in Greece, made up of excerpts from the poetry of Cook, along with the reminiscences of Susan Glaspell and fellow Quad Cities writer Floyd Dell: “An Iowa Seer Comes Home to Greece: Memories of Jig Cook”
Inspired by the example of Susan Glaspell and the Provincetown Players, the NEW ATHENS PLAYERS plan to produce plays that are small-scale and intimate, yet adventurous and creative. With one foot in the traditions of the past and one foot in the innovative possibilities of the present and the future, we will pay homage to dramatic classics of all sorts, including the works of Susan Glaspell and the Provincetown Players, and those they drew on and influenced in turn, while also presenting newer works that give voice to the concerns and issues of the present.
