World’s Toughest Rodeo Rides Into I-Wireless
It’s the bulls and the blood. It’s the steers and the mud, and they call the thing rodeo. Country artist Garth Brooks released his hit song “Rodeo” in 1991. It details the tolls a rodeo life takes on a man and his wife, but also the reasons why the husband continues to ride regardless of the risks. Rodeos are events that we don’t hear very often about in general events, unless you are in rodeo affiliated circles. Now you can experience one for yourself.
On Saturday, January 28 at 7:30 p.m., Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo rides into the I Wireless Center at 1201 River Drive in Moline. Come and watch events like barrel racing, bull jumpers, bull fighting, and many other events. This event goes until 10:30 p.m.
Starting in 1979, Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo was an indoor based show that within three years became the largest privately held rode company in the United States. In 1996, the Bulls and Broncs format was developed to immerse the audience and make them feel like more than a spectator. It included Bareback riding, Saddle Bronc Fighting, Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, and the Main Event where the top two exhibitors of each event would have a Showdown for the title. This lineup of events are the schedule for Cinch World’s shows.
Ten years ago, a preshow was incorporated into Cinch’s program. All guests are invited to a free interactive pre-show in the corral starting at 6:00 p.m. If you purchase a Gold Buckle ticket, you are able to experience a Cowboy Meet and Greet from 5:45 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. as well as get a complimentary t-shirt, a premium seat, and early entry.
