Rock Island’s Speakeasy Holding Auditions For ‘Rocky Horror Show’ Sunday

Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse and The Speakeasy are thrilled to be producing this cult classic for the 7th straight year in October!

Auditions will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, June 26th at Circa 21 Dinner Playhouse located at 1828 3rd Avenue in Rock Island. Please bring a current headshot & resume and prepare 16-32 bars (or one verse and one chorus) of a pop/rock song. Singing a song from show is highly encouraged! Bring sheet music properly marked as an accompanist will be provided. Be prepared to read from the script and possibly learn a short dance combination.

Rehearsals will be begin Saturday, September 10th. Rehearsals will take place on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings and weekend afternoons. The exact schedule will be determines after casting. The entire cast won’t be called to each rehearsal and the staff will do their best work with understandably crazy lives! A private preview will be held October 20 with public performances taking place October 21, 22, 28, 29 at 7pm and 11pm and October 30 at 6pm. All roles in this professional production are paid. All performances of The Rocky Horror Show will be at The Speakeasy next door to Circa ‘21 in Downtown Rock Island.
