Quad City Storm Adds Six Players To Lineup

The Quad City Storm announced today that the team has signed Chris Kravchuk, Troy Henley, Vinny Caligiuri, Jake Schultz, Joe McKeown, and Tommy Tsicos to a professional tryout agreement for the team’s October training camp.
Chicago, Illinois native Chris Kravchuk most recently played in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dogs and the Fayettesville Marksmen. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania born Troy Henley previously played in the SPHL with the Fayettesville Marksmen. “Troy is a young defensemen looking to make an impact in his rookie season,” said Coach Dave Pszenyczny. Hailing from Shoreham, New York, Vinny Caligiuri most recently played in the SPHL with the Fayettesville Marksmen.   Rochester, New York native Jake Schultz comes to the Storm having recently played in the ECHL with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and in the SPHL with Mississippi River Kings. Campbellford, Ontario, Canada born Joe McKeown comes directly from the SPHL and the Quad City rival team Peoria Rivermen. “Joe is a physical presence and he creates a spaces for his line-mates and he can make a play when he has the puck,” said Coach Dave Pszenyczny. Tommy Tsicos hails from Barrie, Ontario, Canada and most recently played in the FHL with the Carolina Redbirds. Head Coach Dave Pszenyczny said, “Tommy is a player who all the tools: he can score, make plays and hits; he is a reliable player in any position.” More info on Tsicos can be found here: http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/pdisplay.php?pid=125516.
The addition of these 6 players will bring the Storm’s training camp ledger to 19 players, which includes the previously announced players Eric Levin, Al Graves, Skyler Smutek, John Scully, Dalton Mills, Ludlow Harris, Mitchell Mueller, Peter DiSalvo, Austin Hervey, Donald Olivieri, Bryan Arneson, Nicola Levesque and Vladimir Nikiforov.
 
The Quad City Storm are expected to open their training camp in early October prior to October 13’s preseason game against the Peoria Rivermen at Peoria’s very own Carver Arena. The Storm’s regular-season schedule is set to begin October 20 against the Peoria Rivermen at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline.
