QC Writers Of ‘A Quiet Place’ Making Noise With Guild Nom

People are still talking and awards academies keep on cheering loudly for the movie without much dialogue, penned by two former Quad-Citians.

A Quiet Place (screenplay by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck and John Krasinski, story by Woods & Beck) has been nominated for Best Original Screenplay for the 2019 Writers Guild of America West Awards.QC Writers Of ‘A Quiet Place’ Making Noise With Guild Nom

Other nominees in the category include Eighth Grade (Bo Burnham), Green Book (Nick Vallelonga & Brian Currie & Peter Farrelly), Roma (Alfonso Cuarón), and Vice (Adam McKay).

The 2019 Writers Guild Awards will be presented at concurrent ceremonies on Sunday, February 17, 2019, in Los Angeles at The Beverly Hilton and in New York City at the Edison Ballroom.

Beck said in his facebook post, “Bryan and I can barely comprehend today’s WGA nomination. We tucked this script away for years and nearly left it there to rot. We owe it all to Christy Sullivan-Beck and Julia Glausi for being our eternal champions and for encouraging us to bring A QUIET PLACE back into the light of day. There have been many brilliant collaborators along this journey, but this film would not exist without you two.”

“A Quiet Place” is currently available on DVD and BluRay.
