Pete the Purple Bull Celebrates National Bullying Prevention Month!

Bullying is serious business. But thanks to QC United and Pete the Purple Bull, bullying prevention in schools and communities can be both effective and enjoyable!

Join QC United and Pete the Purple Bull for some exciting events while celebrating National Bullying Prevention Month, throughout October! Show support and feel the power of kindness through the numerous events planned and sponsorships available throughout the coming months.

While October is National Bullying Prevention Month, QC United is dedicated to assisting local youth fully access educational opportunities all year long. QC United operates several unique and exciting programs endorsed by multiple Quad Cities school districts, law enforcement organizations, businesses and city leaders.

 

Here are some of the amazing events planned for the month of October:

 

Pete the Purple Bull Celebrates National Bullying Prevention Month!Run with the Bull 5K/Walk & Youth Relays

Saturday Oct 2 at Riverdale Fire Department (110 Manor Drive Riverdale)

Get on the MOOVE at the Run with the Bull 5K/Walk & Youth Relays! The race will begin at the Riverdale Fire Department, near Arconic. The 5K Fun Run (and walk) will begin at 9 a.m. and the Youth & Family Relays will begin at 10 a.m. Runners can enjoy a free Pancake Breakfast hosted by the City of Riverdale!

Pete the Purple Bull Celebrates National Bullying Prevention Month!Pete’s Awesome Party & Talent Show

Sunday Oct 2 from 1 – 3 p.m. at Waterfront Convention Center (2021 State Street Bettendorf)

Pete’s Awesome Party is a FREE family event featuring lots of games, inflatables and entertainment. Kids can decorate cookies, make posters, and even make their own t-shirts ($10 each). Children can bring 3 canned goods to be entered into a drawing for a free bike. 6pm Pete’s Awesome Talent Show featuring junior high and high school area talent. Cash prizes!

Tickets available at the door

Adults (12+)       $10

6 yrs to 11 yrs    $5

Under 6                             Free
