Peace, Love, and the Joy of Music: Ellis Kell’s Birthday Bash

Come celebrate the Birthday and life of Ellis Kell with a two-day vinyl record sale and musical swap meet!

Peace, Love, and the Joy of Music: Ellis Kell’s Birthday Bash will take place on Friday Aug 23 from 4 – 8 p.m. and Saturday Aug 24 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the RiverCenter (136 E 3rd Street Davenport).Peace, Love, and the Joy of Music: Ellis Kell's Birthday Bash

Multiple vendors will be selling vinyl albums, amps, instruments, and other musical wares, all while being serenaded by sets from local musicians and guest DJ’s that knew and loved Ellis.  A portion of all proceeds will benefit The Karli Rose Kell Music Scholarship Fund, River Music Experience, and the Davenport Noon Optimists Club.

 

Here is a full schedule of events:

Friday Aug 23

4 – 5:30 p.m.                   Guest DJs Spinning Vinyl

5:30 – 6:30 p.m.              Mo Carter

7 – 8 p.m.                         Tony Hoeppner & Friends

 

Saturday Aug 24

10 – 11 a.m.                     Guest DJs Spinning Vinyl

11 a.m. – 12 p.m.            Vinyl the Band

12 – 12:30 p.m.               Guest DJs

1 – 2:30 p.m.                   Andy Landers

2:30 – 3 p.m.                   Guest DJs

2:30 – 4 p.m.                   Hal Reed & Mississippi Journey

 

Admission for Friday Aug 23 from 4 – 5:30 p.m. is $20 or $10 with an Alternating Currents Weekend Pass and from 5:30 – 8 p.m. is $10 or $5 with an Alternating Currents Weekend Pass. Admission is FREE on Saturday Aug 24.
