Mallards’ Return Headlines Downtown Moline Events This Week
The return of the Quad City Mallards to the I wireless center ice is among the “cool” things going on in downtown Moline Centre this weekend.
Plan to attend the Mercado on Fifth open air market this Friday, October 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, there will be special performances by Grupo Innstinto, Quad City Ballet Folklorico and the Glenview Middle School Mariachi Band. Lowrider cars will also be on display as well as the regular vendors and food trucks for shopping and eating.
The puck drops on October 14 at 7:00 p.m. as the Quad City Mallards kick off their twentieth season with a bang at the iWireless Center. The first 1,000 fans will receive free Mallards 2016-17 schedule posters and can enjoy $2 Beer/$2 Hot Dogs. A fireworks display will light up the sky after the Mallards play their arch rival Fort Wayne Komets; and don’t forget the post game party at Blackwater Jack’s Saloon at Stoney Creek Hotel!
