Luck Be Several Ladies! Burlesque Roulette Scores At Speakeasy
The Speakeasy in downtown Rock Island is excited to welcome back Bottoms Up Burlesque to the stage this weekend with two all new shows! On Friday night the members of the recently completed Bottoms Up school of Burlesque will be showcasing what they have learned in their very own show! On Saturday, the show cast returns with all the performers you love in a show like never before – Burlesque Roulette! The performers won’t have idea what number they will be performing to until the show emcee spins the wheel to determine their song. “We are really excited about these two shows” said Brett Hitchcock – Director of Audience Development. “The student showcase is a great time! To watch the excitement of those students getting on stage for the first time in front of an audience is quite an experience! We are also very excited about the roulette show. It’s like introducing an improv element to the show since the performers don’t have months to put together their routine like a normal show. They will have just minutes from the time they find out what song they will be performing to until they’re on stage!”

Tickets for this weekends shows are $10 per person in advance and $12 the day of. You are encouraged to reserve early as both of these show are expected to sell out!

From rock, country, rap, and even joke songs on the wheel, fate will decide what’s in store for the audience! This is a one night only event on Saturday August 19th.
