Kick of the Summer Season with the Backwater Gamblers this Weekend!

Spend your Memorial Day weekend with the Backwater Gamblers, while they kick off their 2019 season!

Celebrate our freedom as the Backwater Gamblers honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice this Sunday May 26 from 6:30 – 8 p.m.! The show will take place at Ben Williamson Park, located at 5000 44th Street (44th Street and the Rock River) Rock Island.Kick of the Summer Season with the Backwater Gamblers this Weekend!

Show your patriotism by wearing red, white and blue this weekend! CC&B Catering and Mobile Food Truck will also join this celebration with delicious barbecue, including brisket, pulled pork, ribs and sides for purchase.

The Backwater Gamblers perform free water ski shows every Wednesday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on the Rock River in Rock Island. The shows begin this weekend and continue through the summer until Labor Day weekend. The shows last approximately one hour with a 15-20 minute intermission in which  donations are accepted.

The Backwater Gamblers ski site is equipped with bleacher seating to fit crowds of up to 10,000 fans at each show. Lawn chair seating is welcome if you choose not to sit on the bleachers, however the seats with the best view are in the bleachers. Seating is first come, first serve. Handicap seating is also available.

The concession stand offers hot dogs, popcorn, chips, candy bars, ice cream, popsicles, soft drinks, water, Gatorade and various other items. Visit the concession stand before the show starts or anytime through intermission.
