Keller Williams is one of the best-known names in bluegrass music. In his latest project, Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass, he offers loose interpretations of Grateful Dead songs done in a bluegrass style. Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass shows Keller’s love of psychedelic improvisational bluegrass music with Grateful Dead classics. Grateful Grass has a rotating lineup and has included collaborations with a huge range of artists.
Max Weinberg, the 45-year drummer for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, who also spent 17 years with the Conan O’Brien television show, will perform with his Jukebox band. They play everything from The Beatles to Springsteen to Steppenwolf and The Rolling Stones. The audience picks the songs in real time, calls them out, and Max plays them.
Alternating Currents features sixteen venues across downtown Davenport hosting a variety of live music, film screenings, comedians and visual arts. While some events are ticketed, a dozen venues will offer free programming all weekend.
Alternating Currents Weekend Passes ($15 in advance) will be available at the Adler Theatre Box Office and online at Ticketmaster.com. Passes are $10 when purchased with a ticket to the Thursday concert at the Adler Theatre. The Weekend Pass provides ticket holders with access for all music performances at the Redstone Room, River Music Experience, pop up venues and Triple Crown Whiskey Bar and Raccoon Motel.
