Icestravaganza Returns to Downtown Davenport!

If you are looking for a free family-friendly event this weekend, then make plans to head to Downtown Davenport!

Icestravaganza returns for the seventh year this Saturday Jan 19 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Freight House Farmer’s Market! A team of professional ice sculptors will work to make the Davenport Freight house come alive with iconic American symbols from ice. Watch as 24,000 pounds of ice blocks are transformed into incredible works of art. This year’s theme is the Great American Road-trip!Icestravaganza Returns to Downtown Davenport!

This event is free for all ages from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. There will be interactive ice sculptures, live ice carving demonstrations, kids’ activities, two $500 giveaways from Necker’s Jewelers and Davenport Public Library story time. The Freight House Farmer’s market will also have extended hours from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Continue the fun at River’s Edge Ice Arena & Indoor Skating Rink for mini-skating lessons.

Icestravaganza will continue the party into the evening with an After-Party (21 and over) from 6-8 p.m. There will be limited tickets (200) for $10 in advance or $15 at the door (your first drink is free with ticket purchase). Come enjoy Front Street Brewery craft beer, Mississippi River Distilling Company & Cody Road Cocktail House signature cocktails, Complimentary hors d’oeuvres from The Diner and Antonella’s Sicilian Pizzeria, a 20-foot ice bar, dramatic ice sculpture lighting, live DJ and Fire Dancers from QC Sol Fire! Tickets can be purchased in advance online.

After the sun goes down, the sculptures will be lit to make viewing extra spectacular so plan to share fun photos with friends and don’t forget to tag #IcestravaganzaQC! After the party follow the music to the Front Street Brewery Taproom starting at 8 p.m.
