Have Some Family Fun at Illiniwek’s Fall Festival!
Looking for some fall family fun this weekend?
Celebrate the changing season by bringing your family to Illiniwek Forest Preserve (1201 State Ave. Hampton) for a Fall Festival this Saturday Oct 20 from 12:30 – 7:30 p.m.!
Come enjoy one of the last weekends for camping this season or just come out and enjoy the festival!
Enjoy hay rack rides, trick-or-treating throughout the campground, pumpkin painting, a costume contest, campsite decorating contest or a scarecrow building contest!
Sip on apple cider freshly squeezed from an apple press. Wiley’s BackRoad BBQ & Grill will be serving up delicious items from their food truck!
Get in the Halloween spirit by participating in the family-friendly costume and campsite decorating contests. First, second and third place prize winners will be crowned in each contest at 7 p.m. The costume contest will have an adult and child category.
Here is the schedule of activities for the day:
12:30 p.m. Cider pressing begins
1 p.m. Scarecrow building
2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Hay rack rides & pumpkin painting (supplies provided)
5 p.m. Trick-or-treating begins
7 p.m. Contest winners announced
