German American Heritage Center Has Plenty Of Summer Events PlannedThere’s plenty going on at the German American Heritage Center, 712 W Second Street, Davenport, this summer!

Here’s a rundown of the events:

 

Walking Tours

Saturdays @ 10:30 am, June 3 – Aug. 12

$5/Person

It’s Summer Walking Tour season again! We’ve got a new route planned for 2017! Join us any Saturday until August 12 for this new and exciting tour of Davenport’s history!

 

 

QC Museum Week

June 17-25, 2017

Come on out and get in the spotlight! Over 20 local museums will feature famous QC people, products, inventions, historical events and more.

 

Day Trip to Cedar Rapids: Chihuly Exhibit

Saturday, Aug. 12, 7:30am-6:00pm

Members: $56 | Non-Members: $61

 

Travel Fellowship Excursion to Cedar Rapids with 1st Presbyterian!

Chihuly Venetian Glass Exhibit

National Czech/Slovak Museum Admission

Ride the Rails with the GAHC Boone Bus Trip

Saturday, Sept. 30th, 8:00am-10:45pm

Members: $140 | Non-Members: $150

 

Enjoy the Boone Scenic Valley Railroad & Museum, the James H. Andrew Railroad Museum, the Mamie Doud Eisenhower Birthplace, a round-trip train ride to an old coal mining town in a 1920’s era coach class car, and a banquet-style meal at the Old Yoke Inn in Amana Colonies.

Snacks will be available on the train, but participants must bring their own sack lunch.
