Fun-Filled Weekend Planned at Christkindlmarkt in the Quad Cities!
Connect with your inner German this weekend, because the Christkindlmarkt is back in the Quad Cities!
Come experience an authentic German holiday celebration with Davenport Sister Cities and the German American Heritage Center at Christkindlmarkt this Saturday Dec 8 from 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. and Sunday Dec 9 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. at the Freight House Farmers’ Market (421 W River Dr. Davenport).
Christkindlmarkt (Christmas market in German) is a festival celebrating traditional German cuisine, music and handcrafted merchandise. Peruse the arts and crafts at the Handwerksmarkt, enjoy some family activities in the Kinderhaus, grab a bite to eat or have some fun in the Biergarten with live music!
Sample a variety of German beers and Glühwein (mulled wine) and dance the day and night away to traditional German music in the Biergarten. Here is the full line-up of entertainment at this year’s Christkindlmarkt:
