With summer right around the corner, it has become more difficult to stay indoors on the weekends. But family movie night is so rewarding, as well. Now you can combine the two!

The Friends of Vander Veer and Davenport Parks and Recreation have teamed up together to bring Movies in the Park to Vander Veer Botanical Park (215 E Central Park Ave Davenport), beginning this Friday May 24.

Admission is FREE to this event! Blankets and lawn chairs are highly recommended, and the movie will begin at sunset. Friends of Vander Veer will have snacks for sale and food trucks will also be on-site. Don’t worry about being too early, because the Parks staff will be also providing games before the movie starts.
