Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Making Stop in Quad Cities!
Beginning in Montreal, two trains will make a festive journey, travelling through both the U.S. and Canada to bring holiday cheer to 164 communities along the Canadian Pacific network.
The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will make a stop at the corner of Western Avenue and West River Drive in Davenport (near Modern Woodmen Park) this weekend!
According to the US Holiday Train Schedule on Canadian Pacific’s website, the train will remain stopped and will provide a magically holiday-filled performance for all in attendance! Check the website for times and more information.
The entertainment provided at the Quad Cities stop includes:
Willy Porter
Willy Porter has been turning first time listeners into die-hard fans for more than two decades and has shared world stages with music icons Jeff Beck, Tori Amos, and Paul Simon, carving out a successful solo career as an artist who makes music that resonates long after the last guitar chord fades. Whether in the studio or on stage, Willy Porter gifts listeners with an unforgettable ride, embodying the very best of what live music has to offer.
The Trews
With multiple radio hits drawn from six scorching studio albums plus several EPs, a pair of live records, and a retrospective, The Trews are among the most prolific, electrifying, and innovative rock bands on the planet. The Nova Scotia-bred, Hamilton, ON-based combo of singer/guitarist Colin MacDonald, guitarist John-Angus MacDonald, bassist Jack Syperek, and drummer Chris Gormley — songwriters all — has won universal acclaim for both their dazzling live performances and wildly accessible songs.
This event is free, with Canadian Pacific encouraging attendees to open their cupboards and wallets to help address hunger needs in their communities. Local food banks will be accepting donations at each stop to ensure those less fortunate have enough healthy food this holiday season.
