There’s a new and exciting event coming to Moline Centre. Mercado on Fifth, is an open-air market, that will bring local residents, vendors and communities together in a multi-cultural atmosphere.  Shop for healthy produce and unique items, learn about the cooking and culture of this area, watch a movie at an outdoor patio, plus much, much more.  Located at 1106 4th Avenue, just outside of Community Health Care, opening day is August 26. The Mercado will be open every Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. through October.

In addition, there are two musical acts appearing on August 25 in Moline Centre.  19-year old up-and-coming singer, dancer, songwriter and musician, John Dombek Lindahl, will be making a special appearance at 5:30 p.m., so be sure to come a little early to listen and watch this energetic young guy.  Wicked Liz & The Bellyswirls continue their funky sounds at 7:00 p.m., so pack up the lawn chairs and head on down to The Plaza for a double dose of musical magic.
