Dan Nagle Walnut Grove Pioneer Village Returns To Long Grove This Weekend

Labor Day weekend is upon us! Could there be a better way to spend it than going back in time and celebrating like the pioneers did?

The past comes alive at Pioneer Village on both Sunday, September 1st and Monday, September 2nd from 11-4pm. Please join us for some old fashioned fun!
Old world crafts demonstrated by Friends of the Pioneer Village
Ice cream available in the Soda Shop & root beer in the family friendly Saloon ($)
Other craft and vendors on site ($)
See blacksmithing at Ehler’s Blacksmith Shop
Make cattail dolls with Wapsi River Environmental Education Center Naturalists

Come witness basket making, blacksmithing and rope making! Enjoy live entertainment with Native American dance and song, Wild West Shows and plenty of kids’ activities!

Bring your appetite, as well! Pop some of Iowa’s Finest Kettle Corn in your mouth and wash it down with some ice cream and soda at the Walnut Grove Soda Fountain. Stop by the Lunch Wagon for some bison burgers!

Live music in the Gazebo will feature Country Pride on Sunday and John & Kay Retzel on Monday. Or swing by the Saloon for music from Stacey Weber on Sunday and Banjo Jeff on Monday.
