Richmond Hill Takes Aim At ‘In Laws and Outlaws’ In New Show

inlawsRichmond Hill is throwing out a rogues gallery of oddballs to trim its tree in its latest show, “In Laws, Outlaws and Other People Who Should Be Shot,” which runs at the Barn Theater in Geneseo Dec. 1-11, with Friday and Saturday shows at 7:30 and Sunday gigs  at 3 p.m. at 600 HK Robinson Drive, Geneseo.

As for the plot, it’s 6:00 pm Christmas Eve and Tom Douglas and his daughter Beth are preparing for Christmas Eve Dinner at their home. A blizzard has detained Janet Douglas in Vermont. Family members begin to arrive and just as the family is getting ready to sit down to dinner they receive unexpected guest – Tony and Vinny – who are holding them hostage until the heat dies down. And the fun ensues.

Doors open one hour prior to showtime and there is NO LATE SEATING. Cost is $12 per seat – no special rates for kids or seniors, sorry. PLEASE NOTE: Due to December 10 also being Geneseo’s annual Christmas Walk the Saturday, December 10th performance will be a 3:00 pm matinee.

Come on out to Geneseo’s treasure on the HILL to enjoy seeing what happens in the Douglas house hold on Christmas Eve. It’s never too early to reserve a seat. 309-944-2244 or www.rhplayers.com.

ALSO since this is the season of giving the theater thought it would be nice to share with the Henry County Animal Shelter – Geneseo by collecting pet food (or cash to be donated to same). I’ve learned that the shelter prefers the ***Chow foods (Dog Chow, Cat Chow, etc). So if you are so inclined, consider bringing a bag of food for cats or dogs or a dollar or two to help make Christmas special for abandoned pets looking for a new FUREVER home..
