Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse Hoping To Re-Open In July, If All Goes Well With Covid-19

Circa ’21 Dinner Playhouse is hoping to re-open in July, with fingers crossed that all goes well with the ongoing covid-19 pandemic.

Owner Denny Hitchcock has issued a statement on the current state and future of the revered local entertainment venue.

Released on Facebook tonight, it reads as follows:

To Our Dear Guests,

Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse Hoping To Re-Open In July, If All Goes Well With Covid-19I hope this finds you doing well and remaining safe.
Since a few weeks have passed since you’ve heard from us, I wanted to touch base and let you know what’s been happening – unfortunately not too much.

We still have no one working in the offices and the phones are still turned off. Once we know when we may reopen, we will let you know so you can make your reservations.

We have now reached Stage 3 of 5 in Governor Pritzker’s plan for Illinois businesses to reopen. At the end of June he is expected to make an announcement regarding Stage 4 openings soon thereafter. We don’t anticipate doing any shows in the month of June. We are hoping the permitted seating will be 50% in July with social distancing in place.

Since buffets will not be permitted, we will have table service at all performances. You will have a choice of 2 from 3 meat entrees and 1 vegetarian. For the first time ever, you will be able to purchase appetizers at evening performances.

We plan to offer hot stuffed mushrooms and iced shrimp cocktail. When you make your reservation you will be able to notify us of any dietary restrictions you have. We are excited to bring this new food service to our evening performances.

Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse Hoping To Re-Open In July, If All Goes Well With Covid-19Next Thursday, June 11th, is our 44th Anniversary! Because of your tremendous support, we have been able provide you with the Quad Cities top entertainment value for all these years. For that I sincerely thank you!

On behalf of our incredibly talented staff and performers, I thank you for your well wishes and understanding during these very difficult times. We are anxiously awaiting your return visit. Be Safe. Stay Well.

My Best Wishes,

Denny Hitchcock
