Carter Vail Coming To Davenport’s Raccoon Motel In September

LA-based singer/songwriter/social media star Carter Vail will headline the Raccoon Motel on September 1, in the midst of his cross-country tour supporting Yung Gravy. I was hoping you might consider advance coverage surrounding this special headline show!

Carter is fresh off the heels of his new album 100 Cowboys (Assemble Sound) and the success of his Bossa nova-inspired absurdist comedy song “Dirt Man,” which has garnered over 30 million views across platforms and helped him amass 861k followers on Instagram and 806k followers on TikTok. Despite gaining notoriety for the short form social media content he makes, his “serious music” works in conjunction with that to pain a full picture of a multifaceted and wholly original creative who’s “time is now” according to Hypebeast.

“Dirt Man” has inspired multiple covers, including a mashup with Chappell Roan’s “HOT TO GO!” by Minnesota rock band Durry, a shoutout from John Mayer and countless stitches and remixes. And so far, the songs on his new LP are faring similarly. First single “Arizona” has well over a million streams on Spotify, while “Nashville” premiered with Zane Lowe, who called him one of his new favorite artistsUnder The Radar praised “Harder To Kill” for pairing “heartbroken lyrics with upbeat indie rock, dousing his most personal lyricism with shimmering synths and fizzy hooks.” And for my favorite track on the record, check out “Ready Aim Fire,” which was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday playlist upon release.
