Bowlyou’s Ice Cream And Grill And Constellation Coffee Is A Wonderful Combination, Doc Says

I roll over and stare at my alarm clock. It displays 4am, I smile to myself and roll back over, flip my pillow to the cool side and drift back to sleep.
Miles away from me, Barista Jeremy Hull is up and moving. In one short hour coffee will be brewed, drinks will be made, a flavoring of non-alcoholic mixed energy drinks will find there way into the hands of Nurses, Teachers, Factory Workers, and everyday folks that line up at Constellation Coffee via Bowlyou’s Ice Cream and Grill . Drinks named from the farthest reaches of space, with flavors out of this world. All of Bowlyou's Ice Cream And Grill And Constellation Coffee Is A Wonderful Combination, Doc Saysit the love child of the man at the window. Who dreams of one day owning his very own Speak Easy disguised as a Coffee shop/Bakery. Wake and Bake if you will.
This Saturday marks 1 year for the coffee flavored addition to Bowlyous, and what a year its been. The team here at Bowlyou’s put a lot of faith and love into each other and took the chance that was sparked by a friendship that started years prior with Co-Owner April and Barista Jeremy Hull.
Our friend Jeremy, Part Time Barista, Part Time Counselor, Part Time Mental Health Coach, Part Time Drag Preformer, and Full Time G’Uncle, started his love of all things coffee to reconnect with what he missed most in the service industry. “Us.” The ones blessed and lucky enough to be greeted by his smile each morning.
On any given day, we connect with folks like him for maybe 20 seconds. Long enough to hand a wad of cash, or a credit card over in exchange for 16 to 24oz of wake up. Then we drive off. Not knowing or remembering who gave us this beautiful concoction of wake up juice. Customer or Clients, as he refers to them sometimes are much more than 20 seconds to him. Thats what sets Barista Jeremy apart.
A young lady breaks down in tears in the drive thru, she got in a fight on her way to work with her husband. A middle aged man with a stern face grimaces about a long day ahead of him, a proud mother with a streak of silver hair just found out she’s going to be a grandma. Any other drive thru in the galaxy, the cold would set in around them and they’d drift through the emptiness alone. But this day the warmth of a star embraces them with a few kind and encouraging words.
So if you find yourself lost in the chaos of it all. Find your way maybe by looking out the window, he’s the second star on the right waiting for you in the morning with your favorite drink in hand, a warm smile and a few encouraging words to set you on your way.
Your friend in food,
Doc
