Bettendorf Public Library’s Mystery Book Discussion Group to feature international best-seller
Bettendorf, IA – Readers who enjoy the thrill of cracking a case are invited to the Bettendorf Public Library for Mystery Book Discussion Group. The book club is always seeking new members to participate in the club’s discussion of mysteries and thrillers. The Mystery Book Discussion Group meets on the second Saturday of each month from September through May. On September 11th at 9:30 AM, the group will discuss “Old City Hall” by Robert Rotenberg. Copies of the book will be available at the Information Desk prior to the meeting. Remote attendance is also available and can be accessed by registering at http://events.bettendorflibrary.com/event/5159367.
Author Robert Rotenberg used his rich experience as a Canadian criminal defense lawyer to create the international best-seller, “Old City Hall.” The book unravels a seemingly open-and-shut murder investigation where a murder confession and refusal of all subsequent counsel doesn’t add up to the suspect’s defense attorney. The Mystery Book Club is free thanks to the support of the Bettendorf Public Library’s Global Gathering sponsors. The 2021 Global Gathering World Tour is sponsored by The Bettendorf Public Library Foundation, Quad City Bank & Trust, Morgan Stanley, HNI Corporation, Bettendorf Rotary and Twin State.
