Bettendorf Public Library Offering Program Mark Twain Fans Will Love
Are you a fan of Mark Twain’s tales of the Mississippi?
The Bettendorf Public Library is offering an inside look at the Mississippi River this month through an online edition of Community Connections: Life on the Mississippi River with John Lynn. This special, live program will take place on March 18th at 7:00 PM. The event features the story of America’s great river; its course, character, and general river life as experienced by John Lynn, a modern-day Huck Finn, while canoeing solo down all 2,300 miles of the Mighty Mississippi. This presentation will take place via GoToMeeting. Registration is required to receive the invitation and password to this online event. Those wishing to attend can register online at http://events.bettendorflibrary.com/event/4781381 or by calling 563-344-4179.
Featured in both the Chicago Tribune and the Chicago Sun Times, Peoria, IL native John Lynn has hiked, biked, and paddled enough historic and scenic trails, roads, and rivers to circle the globe. John has also photographed all 2,400 cities and towns in the state of Illinois and shared his experiences worldwide. Community Connections: Life on the Mississippi River with John Lynn is a free to attend thanks to the support of the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library.
