‘Disenchanted’ Enchanting Audiences At Circa ’21
Quinn Mei Lysaght, seen in “Disenchanted,” graduated in 2020 from Point Park University, with a bachelor’s in musical theater.
“Disenchanted!” runs through Nov. 6 and has scheduled performances on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:45 p.m., Sundays at 5:45 p.m., and Wednesday matinées at 1:30 p.m. Ticket prices are $56.55 for the evening dinner-and-show productions and $49.73 for the plated-lunch matinées.

Davenport Public Library Giving You Sisterly Advice
NormaLeah’s Sisterly Advice is an ‘empowerment session’ educating women and those who love them about ovarian cancer and its genetic link to other cancers. This informative and entertaining session, held Tuesday, September 28th at 6:30 pm at Fairmount St. (3000 N. Fairmount St.) and virtually, empowers all women to assess their personal risk, explore risk reduction strategies, recognize ovarian cancer’s subtle symptoms, and seek proper medical attention for the best outcome. ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’ Sprouting At Spotlight Theatre
A new Spotlight Theatre production of the beloved musical, “Little Shop of Horrors” is creeping into the Moline theater this weekend!

Directed by Spotlight co-owner Brent Tubbs, and starring Jacob Johnson as Seymour and Becca Johnson (no relation) as Audrey, the Alan Menken/Howard Ashman musical is a dream come true for all three. It opens tonight, Friday, Sept. 24 at 1800 7th Ave., Moline.
Based on a Roger Corman B-movie, non-musical cult classic (1960), in the 1982 off-Broadway hit, the meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” — after his coworker crush, Audrey.
This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it human blood. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out-of-this-world origins and relentless march towards global domination.
Performances will be at 7 p.m. Sept. 24, 25, and Oct. 1-2, plus 2 p.m. on Sundays, Sept. 26 and Oct. 3. Tickets are $20 in advance and $22 at the door. For reservations and more information, visit thespotlighttheatreqc.com.
Rock Island Public Library Offering Kids Storytimes
Parents and other caregivers now have two options for storytimes at the Rock Island Public Library.
In addition to the library’s ongoing virtual storytimes, offered at 10:30 am on Tuesdays via Facebook Live, the library has begun a limited in-person Friday storytime at the Rock Island Public Library Southwest branch, 9010 Ridgewood Road. The in-person version will be offered at 10:30 am on October 1.
Whenever possible, the in-person storytimes will be offered outside. If conditions require moving inside to the Southwest Library Community Room, masks will be required for all patrons over age 2. To ensure social distancing, the inside storytime is limited to 25 people, including parents/caregivers. A caregiver must attend with the child.
At both the virtual and in-person storytimes, Children’s Librarian Ranell Dennis offers a story, song, rhyme, or fingerplay, and an activity for children ages five and under. The Tuesday virtual storytime is also available on demand afterwards via the Rock Island Library Facebook page or YouTube channel. The events are free and open to any parent/caregiver and their children.

Bettendorf Public Library Pouring Out Craft-Tea Event
Crafters and makers of all types are invited for conversation, tea, and craft time at the Bettendorf Public Library’s Craft-Tea event. Held at the Library located at 2950 Learning Campus Dr. in Bettendorf, Craft-Tea will take place on Tuesday, September 28th from 7:00 PM – 8:30 
PM. Crafters aged 16 and up are welcome to bring their own projects for this dedicated work time while enjoying a beverage and the opportunity to socialize with other crafters. Complimentary tea and water will be available at this free event thanks to the sponsorship of the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library. No registration is required to attend.
The Bettendorf Public Library values active engagement and collaboration with residents and community groups, enhancing the quality of life for Bettendorf residents. Craft-Tea offers makers a place to share ideas while giving them committed time to create. Those not currently working on a project need not stay away from this event. ‘Right Side Of The Highway’ Artworks On Display Through Oct. 2
“The Right Side of the Highway”, photographs & drawings by Randy Tracy, will be on display from September 17 through October 2 at Sunrise Galleries located at 114 E 2nd Street in Downtown Muscatine. A reception to meet the artists will be held Friday, 
September 17 from 5:30 to 8:00PM.
Tracy’s interest and love for art helped him to find opportunities to work in the art world. Through Crossroads, Inc (crossroadsmuscatine.org), he works as a gallery assistant at Sunrise Galleries helping to prepare art shows, finish framing projects, and maintain the gallery’s online retail website.
“ I enjoy art because with art I can really express myself. It’s a hard feeling to describe, I don’t know what it is, but art just clicks for me. Art is everywhere you look,” said Tracy, “it’s in drawings, paintings,
the media, and even a chair is art … someone designed it. People are even art and can express themselves freely. I love to express myself and art helps me do that.”
This art exhibit features a collection of vacation photos by Randy Tracy as he traveled home to Connecticut this summer to visit his grandparents. His hometown, Plainfield, CT is 1,100 miles due East of Muscatine on US Highway 6. Also on display are a handful of Randy’s charcoal drawings featuring his own superhero creation, “Super Eagle”. He hopes he may one day turn Super Eagle into his own comic book.
Randy, 35, grew up in Plainfield, CT and attended drawing classes at Quinebaug Valley Community College. He moved to Iowa with his family in 2016.

The producers of the RENT 25TH Anniversary Farewell Tour announced today that single tickets for the upcoming tour engagement on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at the Adler Theatre in Davenport are available in person at the Adler Theatre Box Office (136 E. 3rd St.) and online at Ticketmaster.com. Tickets are $83, $55.50 and $40.50.
The 2021-22 Broadway at the Adler series features “Rent,” “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Cats,” and tributes to Simon & Garfunkel and Carole King. plus a rescheduled “Waitress” next June 1.
